One of our users class316 attended the Mike Huckabee book signing and sent us a report.

class316 with Mike Huckabee

I decided to head off to a local Costco to meet Mike Huckabee, who was signing his book “A Simple Christmas".

Since the signing was on a weekday, I made no effort to get there early and in fact I arrived 40 minutes into the signing. By then I was expecting any possible line to die out, and sure enough when I arrived his line was just a notch above Virgil lines.

He was friendly and was more than happy to take a pic.

He signed a book and I took it.

Now at this point I had the chance to pull a Mooch and just leave the book anywhere in the store and simply walk out the store with my mooched photo op. However, the book was only $12 (hardcover book, and cover price is $20!) I figured I might as well buy it, as the cost of the auto, photo op, and book would amount to sub Zombie prices.

BUT it didn’t end there. I have no Costco membership so I had to mooch off somebody else. The first guy I talked to had 2 books and turns out his membership (which was in his wife’s name) had expired. Finally I managed to find another guy to mooch the membership from. He was buying a Disney Treasures Zoro Season 1 DVD set (didn’t know these were out already). He paid me cash for the DVD set then he used his membership card then I swiped my credit card and paid for both the DVD set and my book.

All in all a fruitful, relaxing, stress free signing.
