So,while working in Georgia I saw an add for this show in Pell City,Alabama. It featured Tommy Rich,The Midnight Express,Austin Idol,Jimmy Golden,Nick Patrick,The Assassin,Bullet Bob Armstrong,Steve Armstrong,and Mike Jackson signing autos followed by an indie wrestling show. While I had met most of these guys in Charlotte or at K&S,I had yet to meet Bob or Steve Armstrong-Steve being a top want of mine due to him being in the Southern Boys with Tracy Smothers,a tag team I really enjoyed. The drive was only ninety minutes,so I figured what the heck…
It turned out to be a great time. All the talent were taking free photo ops,only charging minimal fees for autos. I didn’t bother getting updated photos with the wrestlers I had already met due to the fact that I had just met them all within the past year.Tommy Rich no showed(big surprise there)but everyone else was there. Got my pics with the Armstrongs and actually had a real enjoyable time at the wrestling show. Real old school southern wrestling and the crowd was pretty hot throughout which made it even more fun. At intermission Austin Idol was taking photos with fans in the ring for 10 bucks,which an 8x10 was printed of later in the show which he would sign.
