Saturday was a rather eventful day, as a relaxing weekend at Mohegan Sun turned into a fairly fruitful one for celebrity encounters.

By chance, I discovered that the April Rey Mysterio appearance in CT was postponed to 5/1, and coincided perfectly with my trip to Mohegan Sun, which was only 10 minutes away from the mall.  Rey’s appearance was from 10-12.  I arrived at 8:15 and was approximately 150 from the front of the line.  By 10, the line had swelled to nearly 1000 people, and took up both levels of the mall.  The line moved very smoothly while the store was running things, until one of Rey’s WWE handlers showed up.  The guy tried so hard to rush the line (understandable due to its length) that he actually slowed things down by agitating everyone.  Still, Rey was Rey, and the fans went home happy.

Me and Rey Mysterio

Next, I headed over to Mohegan Sun, where I had heard American Idol winner would be signing CD’s and performing a free concert.  After a rather unlucky gambling streak, I decided to head over to the CD signing.  Jordin was really nice, and despite FYE trying to enforce a no photo rule, I was able to score a quick photo over the table.

All in all, it was a rather nice weekend (save for losing a bunch of money while gambling), and I went home pretty happy.

Today was a rather interesting eclectic day. I began by meeting Kelsey Grammer, the star of one of my all time favorite sitcoms, Frasier. He was incredibly cool and a real treat to meet. I added him to my Frasier season 1 box set already signed by David Hyde Pierce.

My photos with Kelsey Grammer & John Danks

My following meet was Chicago White Sox pitcher John Danks. Even though he was partly responsible for my beloved Yankees losing today (although I put most of the blame on fucking Javy, but I will save that for another post) I still decided to get a photo after the game. He was pretty nice and has some upside so I figured why not. This also marked my first self blast in about 6 months!

The next event in my day included walking right past the Times Square car bomb, moments after it went off. At the time Lanza and I assumed it was just a routine fire, we found out later in the evening it was more serious.

So TNA posted a few of Hulk Hogan’s appearances for today so I figured I try & go to one of them. I got to said location at about 8:15, Hulk had already entered the building & someone told me that he sort of just walked quick & just signed stuff with his fiancee in toe. Anyway Hulk came out at about 10 & could not have been cooler, he signed & took photo’s with everyone waiting (about 12 people). I brought with me the Hulk Hogan/Dixie Carter Plaque with the photo from MSG, getting him on it is nice since now all I need is to get Dixie on it at LOTR & I wont have to bring it to a TNA fanfest or anything.

One of our users class316 met some celebrities and sent us a report.

class316 with Peter Facinelli & Jennifer Coolidge

Tonight is yet another night when The Mooch’s dead ancestors decided to pull a guardian Angel and watch over me.

My initial plan was to meet Jennifer Coolidge (Stifler’s Mom). She was doing a stand up comedy act. Not four minutes away was the hotel of a Twilight convention where Peter Facinelli was making an appearance.

I loath Twilight, but Facinelli is a pretty decent name outside of Twilight. Entrance to the convention was $25 and photo ops with Facinelli was $50. Since it’s Creation doing the convention, you can bet it was very fan friendly! One guy I spoke to paid for the photo op but has to pick up a hard copy the next day! However he wasn’t going to be able to come over on Saturday so they are going to mail it to him! Jpegs via email were an extra $10.

From what I heard the crowd was huge! Also, autos were $35 each.

Did I wait in line all day and pay $75 for a Froggys style photo op? Hell no!! Not with the grand Mooch watching over me!

Since I had time to kill I waited in the hotel lobby where the convention was taking place. I see Facinelli going on and about and I successfully mooch a photo op on my digital camera! He was ECW Original friendly!

No waiting till tomorrow to get the photo op for me!

Now back to Coolidge. I was debating whether to get her at the venue or at her hotel. Tickets to her show were $25 but they were sold out.

I go to the venue and the show ends. Thanks to the Grand Mooch I manage to mooch my way into the venue then I mooch a spot in the middle of a line. I asked what that line was for, apparently Coolidge was doing photo ops! Bull’s eye!

Sure enough she appears and the line moves.

She could not have been nicer or sweeter. I got an awesome photo op where she pushed me into her (how cool is that) and I got two things signed!

One of our users cmshowstopper met some WWE talent and sent us a report.

cmshowstopper with Edge & Kane

Harness the positive and block out the negative. That was the theme for the day.

My trip really began Sunday evening, when a good friend of mine tipped me off that since Raw was not in NJ, Smackdown guys were replacing them for Raw. WWE put 95% of the Smackdown guys in the tv hotel, a rarity. So what did this mean? In a word…….EDGE. The excitement overcame me, as it has been years since I had had a chance to have a good conversation with my all time favorite wrestler due to one thing or another. I was unable to sleep, as I needed to be up at 5am and by 3:30am, I gave up and prepared for the trip.

In what was supposed to be a simple 3hr. trip straight up 78 into East Rutherford, turned into a traffic nightmare. 4 hours later, sitting in traffic multiple times, we made it to the hotel. As we pulled in and got out of the car, we saw a few NXT guys walking out to their car. Justin Gabriel, David Otunga, Darren Young, and Wade Barrett. I quickly snapped a picture with Gabriel, as I admire his work since he was in FCW as Justin Angel. One of my buddies chatted it up with Darren Young, who was also in great spirits. Barrett was in his car before I could a picture with him and Otunga, clearly did not seem to want to be posing.

Inside, we found the normal cast of characters, ebay sellers and friends already waiting. We took a seat amongst the crowd of about 20 total guys. All was good. We spotted R Truth first, as he was headed into the gift shop. We waited until he was done and he was MORE than happy to pose for photos and sign graphs. I have never seen Truth in a bad mood and loves to interact with fans. Out of the entire roster of people I have met, Truth and Pat Patterson are two of the guys who love to roam around the hotel meeting people. Both super cool!

Gail Kim and Rosa were seen next, but they dashed down a hallway and I wasnt about to chase after them, considering I heard them turn a few folks down. Other people though…..well…..they do what they do I guess.

Next down was Kane. WHOAH! KANE! One of the harder guys to meet, Kane came down into the lobby and was immediately swarmed. But he turned no man away. Taking pics, signing graphs and doing his thing. My first time meeting him, got a pic. and graph and he was a quiet guy.

Unfortunately, this is when things turned sour. Not sure what prompted it, but either hotel guests or people from outside began to come inside and were out of control. A group of 20 turned into a crowd of 50. Kids upon kids, running through the hotel lobby, screaming and acting out of control and their parents standing idly by and getting pics with Kane. Unreal. Immediately, hotel security and management were on the scene and kicked everyone out of the lobby. He informed all those who were not guests had to leave the hotel and all those were guests were going to be confined to their rooms. WHAT?!?!?!? Confined to my room? What am I in prison? Not being a guest, I didnt really have any room to argue and vacated the hotel.

All was not lost though. A side exit to the hotel into the parking lot provided ample opportunity. We waited outside in the parking lot, as there was no valet parking here. Gail Kim came out and said hello and I asked for an autograph and she said no problem. She loaded her bags in the car and Rosa came out from Starbucks and did the same. Both signed autos and seemed ok, but rush. Neither would take pics as they said “we look ugly. we have no makeup on. and these are gonna be on the internet and i dont want to be ugly.” Hey….whatever. I was happy with the graphs.

Once again hotel management was out and informed us that we were not allowed to harrass the hotel guests. I said I absolutely agree and that anyone who does that should be arressted. I informed him, we were not harassing and the wrestlers seemed to not have issue with it. He insisted that we leave and goto our car.

Harness the positive and block the negative. So we did just that…..we went to our cars and promised to not harass. At this point we saw NJ Police arrived. Evidently, others were not playing as nice and NJ police came in and began to talk to some of those guys from inside, ejecting them from the property with threats of arrest, including hotel guests. Real great PR move there. From ebay guys, to middle aged men, to a family of 4…..all were threatened, guest or no guest. All were ejected from the property.

Hiding out in the car, we pressed on. But with the cops in the picture, we had to be a little more selective. Luke Gallows was next. Luke is cool when Punk is not around. So we saw the coast was clear, approached Luke and got some graphs. We wished him a good show and ran before Punk spotted us. CM Punk and Beth Phoenix, holding hands might I add, come out next, as Gallows heads inside to get coffee. Before Gallows did that, he moved the car closer to the hotel. Punk and Beth are one row from us and start looking around, like they are lost. We can clearly hear Punk yelling about how the car is missing. Trying to be the “nice” guy that I am…..I shout out to Punk that Gallows moved the car and pointed to how it was just 2 down from us. Punk snarled, looking right at me. He called Gallows and began yelling at him. Luke comes running out and points to the car….just like I had. Punk and Beth have words, as they load their bags. Oh Punk…..you silly, silly man.

As much as I would love to have gotten Punk, I knew not to ask b/c of the issues with the cops. I had heard at Fan Axxess in Phoenix, he told some 7yr. old to “fuck off", before being admonished by Beth who then prompty apologized to the kid’s father. So no chance for Punk.

Saw DH and Natty next, who are always nice. But hotel security was in the lot at that moment and we were holding out Edge. We couldnt take the chance that cops would say anything to us. So we had to pass on them. Dean Malenko went inside, but once again did not want to take a chance, as Dean can a jerk at times.

Harnessing the positive and blocking the negative was about to get REALLY tough. It was around 12:30pm and hotel security approached us, sitting in the car. They asked us if we were guests. I explained to him and honestly, we were waiting for one of their guests to come down and he should be out shortly. We were gonna give him a ride. He asked me who was the guest? Adam Copeland, I responded. He went inside to check the reservation. Now what? Would he buzz Edge’s room and tell him 3 guys are waiting on him and to hurry it up? Or would he see that this was a WWE room and just kick us out? We figured it was time for a new plan. So we left the parking lot and and drove around the corner to an adjacent hotel.

Noticing a trail that leads right into the parking lot of the former hotel, we had a decent view of the lot. Most cars had cleared out, so it shouldnt be too hard to spot anyone. We noticed a limo close by. My buddy went down and talked to the driver and he explained he was waiting for Chris Jericho, who was doing a signing about an hour away. He said that he had to pickup Chris at the front door at 1pm. Damn! Clearly, we would not be able to seek out an autograph, right?

We stayed off the property and waited. Spotted Jerry Lawler and a buddy of mine wanted a pic. We went over and in typical Jerry fashion, he was super nice. He posed for the photo and I had a chance to ask him if he was coming to Hershey, PA next week, as he promised to ride the rides with us last time. He said he would not be , but wanted to know if the park was even open yet. I told him I wasnt sure and he said that the next time that he most definitely would. Walking away, I felt dumb, as its Smackdown thats in Hershey next week. :-/

Next out was a trio and it was Mickie James, Serena and Yoshi Tatsu. First, let me start by saying……WOW! Mickie James was looking FINE! My one friend was a little zealous in meeting Mickie and I think it annoyed her. Being the charismatic sweet talker I am, I quickly resolved the situation by commenting on how her mustang was sexy like her. LOL!! She smiled and immediately started chatting about how it was a rental, but it was nice and so on and so forth. My other friend got a pic. with Serena, but I missed out as I was chatting it up with Mickie. When I turned around, Serena was already in the car so I got another pic. with Yoshi and snagged a graph from Mickie, but could tell she was in a hurry so I did not want to bother her for a photo. Though seeing as hot as she was, I think I took the wrong one.

Almost immediately following their departure, which Mickie did honk at us, as she drove past, we spotted Khali standing by Jericho’s limo. Strange, cuz we thought he was India. Then Jericho came out was talking to Khali. Khali was grunting at Jericho….or maybe he was talking. :-/ I didnt want to take a chance at heading to front of the hotel, but my friend DJKnightRida iniated it and took the ball and ran. He headed to the front, determined to get Jericho, so I followed in toe. Jericho was in a hurry, but said he would sign for us, just no pics. He was nice, but jumped into the limo right after. Khali also signed and took pics. We scurried away and back into the parking lot. It was becoming very empty out there and Natty/DH’s car was still there. So we sat down in that area and waited. Tyson Kidd came out, who we had no seen yet and went to Natty/DH’s car. In typical Hart Dynasty fashion, he couldnt have been nicer. Signing autos and taking pics. He said Bret was stuck in Europe and was hoping for him to be in NJ. He also mentioned how they were probably going to hold off on the whole Bret proclaiming “Miz Show” the best tag team storyline for a few weeks. Interesting tidbit.

Harness the positive and block out the negative was gonna pay off. Faith, my friends. Faith. The moment had come alive, as Edge made his grand entrance. He headed for his car with his traveling companion, who is going to remain nameless, but is someone who works for WWE. I approached him and was hoping, after 11 years or so, he might remember me. Alas, he apologized and said I looked familiar but he was not sure. I gave him some more details and then he said things were starting to come back. He apologized again and said its been too many chair shots. Pics, autos, the whole nine yards……Edge continues to be the nicest guy I have ever met in wrestling.

Standing outside his car, he asked what I had been up to in the past 11 years and told us a story about this guy and how bad his memory is. He said that after he got off the plane in NJ, some guy came up to him and told him his wife was in the hospital and was very sick. He asked Edge for a ride to the hospital or $11.50 for cab money. Edge gave him a $20 and wished him the best. The guy left. Then when he woke up yesterday, Edge remembered the last time he flew into NJ……that had happened to him……AND IT WAS THE SAME GUY! He couldnt believe it. This guy has 40 of Edge’s dollars! And he said the next time he flies in NJ, he suspects he will then have 60 of Edge’s dollars. Edge asked if we were coming down to Baltimore for the PPV and we said we were. He told us to look him up when we get there and he promised he wont forget. LOL!! We told him we were doing the whole loop and he said we would catch up then and he had to head to the arena, as it was almost 2pm by this time. We said our goodbyes and off we went, as excited and as excited can be. Looking at my photo, there was clear evidence of just how much I was acting like a 5 year old mark. I could not contain my excitement.

And that was our adventure at the hotel. A lot of work, but a lot of quality stuff. Always a good time. But the day was not over. No, no. B/c Chris Jericho’s signing was next on our to do list.

We headed over to Vintage Vinyl for Jericho and went around back to the line. We got there about an hour before the signing and there were maybe 15 people in line. So it was all good. I had bought 3 cds to ensure I got a few items done, as it was supposed to be 1 extra for each cd and a photo. Jericho ended up running a little late and had to goto RAW, so they said no photos. Big dissapointment, as that was most important for me. They did make up for it when they said that we could each get 2 autos per cd bought and it didnt have to be the cd. OH WOW! Finally someone with common sense. Why should I get the cd signed? I paid for it. I dont want it signed. I’m fine with opening it so I cant return it, but I still dont want it signed. So I was able to get my 8X10, my Bragging Rights chair, WM 25 program, 2009 program and 2009 Summer Slam all done. I neglected to get 1 cd signed, which turned out to be my loss. Oh well. Jericho was nice, but clearly in a rush.

Another success for us! And this time, we had to earn it. LOL!!! But almost all the wrestlers were in great spirits, very glad to be home and off the bus from hell and well rested. I truly hope I am able to track down Edge this weekend, as I have so many items I would like signed. As always, enjoy the pics, make comments and ask questions.

P.S……our trip closed out as we had dinner at Sonic in Harrisburg, PA. And the streak of weird shit happening to us continued. As we pulled in, one of the Sonic staff members was seated outside. He took off his shoe and then proceeded to SET IT ON FIRE!!!! I dont mean a small flame, I mean an inferno engulfing the entire shoe. He leaped to his feet and started jumping up and down on the shoe in an attempt to put it out. Several seconds later, he was finally able to put it out…….but we could not stop laughing and it reminded me of Tim Robbins in Nothing To Lose. WOW!

11:47:01 am Permalink Chiller Theatre - Staff Report

Categories: Report

I decided to change my weekend plans at the last minute and head out to the Chiller Theatre Expo in Parsippany, NJ on Friday, April 16. I’ve never been to the show on a Friday night before, but from previous con experience, I figured lines would be relatively short. I was surprised that so many people showed up, and happily paid the $5 extra for “pre-show” entrance at 5:30. Since most guests were already signing, it was worth staying out of the rain and avoiding most of the longer lines.

First, I made a beeline for the Rita Moreno line, as it was the longest and I wanted to make sure I was able to meet “Anita” from West Side Story. Rita was very nice and signed my West Side Story poster and posed for a photo. I also headed out to the Italian Invasion room and got Geretta Giancarlo to sign my Demons poster, and got Carl Yorke and Francesca Ciardi to sign my Cannibal Holocaust poster. Unfortunately, Robert Kerman didn’t show up on Friday, and I was told he would be there Saturday.

Next, I headed back into the main signing area, where I met Kristen Bauer (Pam of True Blood) and Frank Vincent (The Sopranos, Goodfellas). I had Bauer sign my True Blood poster (already signed by John Billingsley) and a bottle of True Blood, and had Vincent sign a bobble head doll he was selling at his table. Both were very friendly.

All in all, I had a great time at this show, and aside from the Robert Kerman no-show, I accomplished everything I set out to do. This Chiller was pretty universally criticized for having a weak lineup, and to an extent, I agree, but the guests I was able to meet far outweigh such issues.

my photo with Bill Goldberg

That’s right folks, I actually ventured out for a rare wrestling “stalk” mission. When I got word Bill Goldberg was going to be 20 minutes from my house I decided to go and see what I could get done of my remaining items.

Signed photo op & WCW DVD

Signed Encyclopedia & Autobiography

Goldberg was in a great mood and was more than happy to pose for a photo on his way in. He then gladly signed all 4 of my remaining Goldberg items, allowing me to now consider him 110% “Virgilized". I normally feel bad going for more than 2 in a “stalk” environment but Goldberg was truly happy to sign whatever you had.

A few amusing anecdotes from the day. When Goldberg saw my photo op from the PA show in 2008 he commented on how that was the last time he ever wore that shirt, his reason was as follows. “I saw Matt Hardy had the same shirt so I decided to burn it". When I commented on how that was a great reason to do that he laughed and agreed. Another funny moment was when he saw the WCW DVD he said “let me sign over these guys” referring to Hall & Nash.

11:51:24 pm Permalink BJ Penn Book Signing Report - Bookends

Categories: Report

One of our users latinoheat578 met BJ Penn at his book signing and sent us some pictures.

latinoheat578 with BJ Penn & JD Penn

Headed over to Bookends in Ridgewood, NJ tonight for the BJ Penn signing… was scheduled to start at 7 . BJ got there a few minutes and after doing some interviews the signing started on time. They had a flyer at the register that said BJ would ONLY be signing his book and a quick lean-in table shot would be allowed with your camera. Their rules kind of turned me off since usually Bookends and also UFC signings in the past have not been strict. But regardless since the signing is not far from my house, my wife and I headed over anyway.

Once BJ sat down they again reminded us about no additional sigs but BJ’s people put a 2nd chair next to him at the table so that the fans could sit down with him, get the book signed and get a posed photo opp.. That at least made it a little more worth it.

The signing went by pretty quick… when I got to the table I asked BJ that if I were to hang till the end, would I be able to get my stuff signed… he responded by saying ‘absolutely’ and asked his brother , Jay Dee Penn, to film a piece with me and my wife for his website while we waited… (the audio quality sucks but oh well..)

finally as the line died down BJ’s camp told the people waiting for xtra items to get back on line and we’d be taken care of.. I had 2 items for BJ so I had my wife go thru with 1 while I took the other.

Here’s my signed items and pics taken… all in all a great experience… goes to show that sometimes it’s best to go to these shows rather than rely on the management telling you ‘what they heard’… it’s 90% up to the talent appearing. (like Bookends and FYE have done in the past).

08:05:22 pm Permalink WWE European Tour - April 2010

Categories: Report

One of our users Kris-UK met some wrestlers during the WWE European tour and sent us a report.

Kris-UK with Edge & Chris Jericho

Kris-UK with Finlay, Johnny Ace & Layla

Kris-UK Ezekiel Jackson & Maryse

And so the WWE yet again swung into Europe for one of its money-spinning tours.

That meant that I set off to hit a few towns and see what could happen. As per my New Year announcement (the one which I think Lanza said was camp/gay or some such derivative), I scaled down on what I did, meaning I was done and dusted before the TV tapings - which is where you normally get the rare names/agents/obscurities.

My goals going into the tour were unusually modest - I only needed to meet about ten new names in total, and while I didn’t get them all (by skipping TV), I am happy with how it panned out.

In short, I achieved the following:

- Completion of Smackdown…I now have a photo op with every single person currently assigned to the “Blue Brand”

I also picked up a few bits and bobs from Raw..when combining the two brands, I got the following:

- Cena combo (WWE ‘Word Life’ shirted promo)

- Dos Caras Jr photo op (second, after getting him in Florida last month too…Ben and I were only people to get him in the city we did)

- Christian photo op (just because he was there)

- Maryse photo op (only Ben and I got her…more on that below!)

- Tyson Kidd photo op (final Hart Dynasty member that I needed)

- Edge (two photo ops, his auto to complete a WWE promo signed by Christian, and a further one in the Ency)

- Ezekiel Jackson photo op (again Ben and I were the only two people to get him before he no sold everyone else…day before he got injured)

- Layla combo (WWE Ency auto)

- Serena photo op (second, after getting her first in Florida last month)

- Jack Swagger photo op (second, after getting him first in November 2008)

- Finlay and Johnny Ace photo op (how random - Ace at a house show hotel!!!)

- DH Smith photo op (upgrade on my first from October 2007)

- Tony Chimmel photo op (final person I needed to get a “full house” on Smackdown)

- Chris Jericho combo (WWF Undisputed Champ ‘both belts’ promo)

- Ron Killings photo op (third, as last two were a bit poor in terms of how they came out)

- Rey Mysterio (photo op, WWE ‘nine masks’ promo, WWE ‘red pants’ promo, WCW ‘aged 19 and masked’ promo, Ency…all as the full “Rey Mysterio 619″…who needs $100 dollar “Rey 619″ combos?!?!?)

- Kane (two autos…first on an old WWF masked Kane promo, the other in the Ency)

The key point was that this could have been so much more fruitful in terms of quantity, but it has got to the point that I see no real point in getting the tired, same old faces - as I say my “stalking” career is pretty much done, apart from the odd date here and there.

You’ll still see me at conventions for a show or two yet though as there are still some good names that are coming out over in the US.

And finally…"How cool is that?” moments - a tribute to Class316:

- Layla asked what aftershave I was wearing…I am sure Daivari would have liked me too haha!

- Maryse only did pics with Ben and I…and only because I asked her in French (thanks to the tip someone gave on here! She heeled when the vultures then flocked in…asking in English :D )

- I led a mini photo op session with Edge for half a dozen friends, telling him where to stand and so on. The next morning when another friend wanted a pic, which I took, he referred to me as “picture man” - maybe a job with WWE is on the cards for me?

I went to the indy card on 4/10 to check it out and get some things signed. Matt Borne was signing as Doink before the wrestling started. He had photos he was signing for $5. I said hi and took out a WWE Classics Doink figure to have signed. His girlfriend acted as agent and said “That will cost $10 to get signed.” I didn’t understand why she wanted more but said fine. Matt then said “What are you going to do, sell this on ebay?” I laughed and explained I was a collector. Was it any of his business if I was? It’s not like he signed it for free. He then acted like I was just there make money on a signed figure. Yeah, I paid $15 admission, $10 for a figure and $10 for an autograph to cash in. Great logic. If I brought 10 figures in to get signed, I would understand. I didn’t want to take a pic after that.

The matches were decent for the first half of the show.
Red, Borne,Daffney and Doring were the stars that wrestled the fist half. Abyss cut a promo and signed at intermission.

Abyss had promos and other photos for sale. I just wanted my program signed. He said “Oh, the big program” and happily signed it. I then asked him how much I owed him and said “You’re good.” The fact that he kept up the free autographs with a program sale even at an indy show really impressed me. He took a photo with me and was a total class act. I don’t think I ever met a wrestler who was more appreciative of his fans. The next thing that happened cracked me up. Danny Doring sat next to him and said started talking to everyone in line. Danny said “Everyone, this Abyss! He gets powers from Hulk Hogans ring!” Chris kept saying “Shut, up Danny” under his breath while laughing a bit at Danny breaking his balls.

The second half had indy wrestlers with the exception of Abyss. The one guy that stood out was “The German Hammer” Josef Von Schmidt. I remember when he wrestled as Pat Gunner years ago and thought he lackluster. He has this Nazi character that he does in an entertaining way. He does subtle things that make him stand out at an indy show.

Abyss vs. Mike Magnum was a Monsters Ball match. Magnum took a beating with a chair shot, dead end sign shots and being put though a table with thumb tacks. Of course, my camera died when this happened.

Good show. I expected Daffney to sign, but never did.

we had to get right on the road to head to Middletown and Maria’s signing. We hit some crazy traffic on the Jersey turnpike and Rt. 17 heading out of the city, but nothing too major, and according to my GPS, we were on track to make it to Middletown by around 3:50 - nothing wrong with that, especially since Maria was going to be there until 5.

We made it to Middletown right around 4, and that’s where the fun REALLY began. As I was switching to lanes to turn around in a gas station, I wasn’t even halfway across the line when some lady in an SUV comes out of NOWHERE, and clips me right in my front passenger side tire - cracking my rim in the process, and causing some other damage to the passenger side. Of course, her car had little to no damage whatsoever. No-one has any clue where she came from, as we checked our rear view mirrors as I turned my signal on and started switching lanes. All that we can imagine is that she was behind me in the left lane, saw that I was slowing down to put my turn signal on (the speed limit in town was only 35 MPH to begin with), and was going to try to swerve around me before I could change lanes. Judging by the fact that my rim is now cracked in half, I’m going to venture a guess that she wasn’t exactly going the speed limit.

By the time THAT mess was taken care of, we still made it to Maria’s signing with around 20 minutes to go. Thankfully Lazy E headed over there and had told Brian (SPORTSFANPROMOTIONS) and Maria what had happened. Maria could NOT have been any nicer. When it was my turn, Brian told her “Here’s the trooper that had the accident and still made it over.” Maria literally goes to me “You poor thing!” and threw her arms around me and gave me a HUGE hug. Thankfully, there is photographic evidence of this.

Maria thanked me again for coming, especially given the circumstances, and she was just a total pleasure to be around. Super friendly and just a total sweetheart. Being that we were all still in shock from the accident, it was great to see that was totally into the signing. If anyone is on the fence about meeting her at Legends, don’t be - you will not be disappointed.

Sunday I went to Oxford Valley Mall in Langhorne PA to meet Maria. I showed up at 11:30, her signing started at noon. I was 15th in line to meet her. I was expecting more to be there for this, but I guess not. She arrived 15 minutes late, which was no biggy. When I got in to meet her, she commented on my new CM Punk shirt. She said she helped with the borders and roses on the T shirt design. I thought that was pretty cool. She signed my encyclopedia. She’s a real sweetheart and really fan friendly. I’m gonna get her again at Legends since I have a Summerslam program for her to sign.
